To start a food blog or not?…that was my question. I had many people reach out to me and encourage this idea that has been stirring around in my head for some time now. I am not a nutritionist, chef, or a writer, I am simply documenting my discoveries and hoping to enlighten or inspire others…and myself.

I have watched some amazing documentaries, that I will list in a later post, that fueled my motivation and one thing led to the next and before you know it 5 years later I haven’t had a lick of meat. I am all about to each their own and doing what makes you happy, but all I ask is do it with knowledge so that you can make an educated decision.

I think a lot of people want to turn their head the other way, because they think if they see something they don’t like (which they would), then that means they would have to change something about what they are doing and guess what…most people despise change. The kicker is this… this change fuels a new experience of exploring foods, new cooking techniques, feeling better, not harming animals, and the list goes on. Then once someone has accepted they need to make a change, they say “How in the world could I give up dairy???!!! And bread???!!!!! And meat???!!!!” “What CAN I eat?!?!” And the answer to that is first of all, absolutely you can, I was raised eating all the same things you were and thought I loved it too. There are SO many alternatives to satiate those cravings you love, it is just through a different source. I know it is true because anyone I feed eats my food and they are not only satisfied, but very surprised and kind of, well… shocked. Just ask my sometimes meat eating husband

I truly believe that. We have everything on this earth we need to prevent illness, reverse illness, and fully nourish our bodies, but we have to learn about it and discover it for it to work.
